BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL
1. GENERAL PREPARATION
✅ Do not remove any furniture or items from your home—this can spread bed bugs to other areas.
✅ Ensure all areas are accessible, especially bedrooms, closets, and furniture.
✅ Declutter your home—reduce hiding spots by removing unnecessary items from floors and under beds.
2. LAUNDERING & BAGGING CLOTHING & LINENS
✅ Wash all bed linens, blankets, pillows, and clothing in hot water (at least 120°F) and dry on high heat.
✅ After washing, immediately place all clean items in sealed plastic bags and keep them out of treatment areas.
✅ Do not return these items to drawers or closets until after treatment is complete.
3. FURNITURE & BEDROOM PREPARATION
✅ Remove all items from bedroom closets, nightstands, dressers, and storage bins. Place these items in sealed plastic bags.
✅ Do not move furniture out of rooms but pull beds, dressers, and furniture at least 12 inches away from walls if possible.
✅ Vacuum all mattresses, bed frames, and baseboards, and dispose of the vacuum bag or contents in a sealed plastic bag outside.
✅ If you have bed bug mattress covers, leave them on. If you don’t, ask your technician about installing one after treatment.
4. LIVING ROOM & COMMON AREA PREPARATION
✅ Remove and bag all throw pillows, blankets, and covers from couches and chairs.
✅ Vacuum underneath and behind furniture, especially in seams and crevices.
5. PETS & CHILDREN
✅ Remove all pets, pet bedding, and pet food from the home.
✅ Cover fish tanks and turn off air pumps.
✅ Ensure children and pets remain out of the home during service and for at least 4-6 hours after treatment or as advised by your technician.
AFTER THE TREATMENT
✔️ Stay out of the home for the recommended 4-6 hours after treatment.
✔️ Do not clean, vacuum, or disturb treated areas for at least 48 hours.
✔️ Expect to see some bed bug activity for up to two weeks as the treatment works.
✔️ Continue using sealed plastic bags for clothing and linens until your technician confirms the infestation is eliminated.
✔️ Schedule follow-up treatments as needed—bed bugs often require multiple treatments.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
⚠️ If preparation is not completed, your service may be rescheduled or a fee may be charged for incomplete prep.
⚠️ Bed bugs are persistent—do not stop treatment too early, as reinfestation is common.
⚠️ If you have any questions or concerns, call us.
