German Cockroach Prep Sheet
We want to do the best job possible to get rid of pests in your home. Following this guide will help us work faster and better. If you don't follow these steps, it might slow us down or even stop us from getting rid of the pests.

BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL
1. KITCHEN & FOOD STORAGE
✅ Empty all kitchen cabinets and drawers, especially those near the stove, sink, and refrigerator. Place dishes, utensils, and food in sealed plastic containers or bags away from treatment areas.
✅ Wipe down counters, stovetops, and food prep areas to remove grease, crumbs, and spills.
✅ Take out all trash and remove excess cardboard or paper bags, as roaches hide in them.
✅ Do not leave dirty dishes, food, or pet food out overnight.
2. APPLIANCES & STORAGE AREAS
✅ Pull out stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and microwaves to allow treatment behind and underneath.
✅ Clean behind and underneath all major appliances to remove grease, food debris, and crumbs.
✅ Empty and clean pantries, cabinets, and shelves, especially in areas where roaches have been seen.
3. BATHROOMS & OTHER ROOMS
✅ Remove everything from bathroom cabinets, drawers, and under the sink.
✅ Fix any leaks under sinks or around pipes—roaches are attracted to moisture.
✅ Declutter living areas by removing unnecessary newspapers, cardboard boxes, and stacks of paper where roaches can hide.
✅ Vacuum and sweep baseboards, under furniture, and along walls where roaches may travel.
4. PETS & CHILDREN
✅ Remove pets, pet food, and pet bedding from treatment areas.
✅ Cover fish tanks and turn off air pumps to prevent chemical exposure.
✅ Keep children and pets out of the home during treatment and for at least 2-4 hours after service.
AFTER THE TREATMENT
✔️ Do not clean or wipe down treated areas for at least 48 hours to allow the treatment to work.
✔️ Expect to see some roach activity for up to 10 days as they come into contact with the treatment. This is normal.
✔️ Continue regular cleaning, sealing food, and reducing moisture to prevent reinfestation.
✔️ Follow technician instructions for additional steps to maximize treatment effectiveness.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
⚠️ If preparation is not completed, we may reschedule the service or charge a fee for incomplete prep.
⚠️ Multiple treatments may be necessary—follow-up visits are highly recommended for complete eradication.
