General Pest Prep

BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL

1. KITCHEN & FOOD STORAGE

✅ Store all food, pet food, and small kitchen appliances in cabinets or sealed containers.
✅ Clean up crumbs, grease, and spills from countertops, floors, and stovetops.
✅ Take out all garbage and recyclables to reduce pest attraction.
✅ Empty cabinets and drawers only if instructed (especially for cockroach or ant treatments).

2. LIVING ROOM, BEDROOMS & OTHER AREAS

✅ Vacuum and sweep floors, including along baseboards and under furniture.
✅ Move furniture at least 12 inches away from walls to allow access to baseboards.
✅ Remove excess clutter, cardboard boxes, newspapers, and magazines where pests can hide.
✅ Store children’s toys, clothing, and personal items in closed containers or bags.

3. BATHROOMS

✅ Wipe down sinks, tubs, and countertops.
✅ Store toothbrushes, toiletries, and personal hygiene products in cabinets or sealed bags.
✅ Fix any leaks or standing water under sinks or around plumbing.

4. PETS & CHILDREN

✅ Remove pets, pet food, water bowls, and bedding from treatment areas.
✅ Cover fish tanks and turn off air pumps.
✅ Keep children and pets out of the home during service and for at least 2-4 hours after treatment or as instructed by your technician.

5. OUTDOOR AREAS

✅ Trim vegetation, shrubs, and trees away from the house to reduce pest harborage.
✅ Remove standing water, leaf piles, and debris around the home.
✅ Store firewood and other materials away from the home’s foundation.
✅ Mow the lawn if possible before service.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

✔️ Avoid mopping or wiping down treated surfaces for at least 48 hours to allow the treatment to work.
✔️ Expect to see some pest activity for a few days as pests come in contact with the treatment. This is normal.
✔️ Continue cleaning regularly, keeping food sealed, and taking out the trash promptly.
✔️ Follow any additional instructions provided by your technician.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

⚠️ If preparation is not completed, your service may need to be rescheduled or a fee may be charged for incomplete prep.
⚠️ Some treatments may require follow-up visits for full effectiveness—please schedule as advised.
